Don't Sweat It: A Wearable Stress Monitor

Have you ever wanted to know EXACTLY how stressed you are?

This was a fun final project that I did for my Biosensors and Bioelectronics class. It was an elective course that dealt with a lot of circuit analysis (which I hadn't taken since undergrad, so it was a bit of a struggle). The goal was to design a novel biomedical sensing device, then detail how we would get FDA approval for it.

I ended up designing a device that monitored stress levels through sweat in the form of a watch. It would wick up sweat from your skin and cortisol would create a redox reaction on the amperometric biosensor, to create a potential difference that could be read and recorded.
